Abhigyan Disha is a non-profitable, community based NGO, registered under Society Registration Act 21 of 1860 and Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) 2010, 12A and 80G of Income tax Act. Abhigyan Disha was established on 14th November 1992 and registered on 20th February 1995. Abhigyan Disha has presence in 122 villages of 55 Gram Panchayat in 2 districts of Madhubani and Supaul, with small and marginalized and backward community. Organization mobilizes and capacitates people through nurturing the community based institutions like: Manavta Kendra, Village Disaster Preparedness Committee, Self Help Group, Kisan Club, Gram Vikas Samiti and Users Committee. We brings various stake holders together and sensitizes them on various social issues. We take initiatives in making Government, NGOs and Civil Society accountable to the communities.

>> Member of a network named as “Disaster Response Forum” consisting of 35 NGOs in Madhubani, Darbhanga and Sitamarhi districts
>> Good relationship with Sadar hospitals at Madhubani as well with PHC officers, in block Benipatti
>> Linkage with local Panchayat representatives, block and district level
>> Have a strong network of women task force in 20 district of Bihar
